Inspiring young investigators

I love visiting schools, meeting readers and inspiring children to use their imagination. I write books for children aged 9-12 years. I can offer the following events for Key Stage Two.

School workshops promote a variety of skills

Workshops

- School Assembly (40-50 mins) Years 3-6
 

- Workshops (up to 1 hour for a single class best suited to years 5-6)

 

- Virtual events - short author talk and/or Q&A (30-40 minutes)

Join me for an interactive event investigating how I ended up as a writer of scary stories. I will talk about my inspiration, the weird things I’ve learned through my research about the Victorians and why everyone should exercise their imagination. It will include a short reading, game, quiz and Q&A, depending on the time available.
 

Requires PowerPoint and projector.

Location:
Hertfordshire, up to one hour by car or tube. Can travel further on a case-by-case basis, travel expenses will then apply.

Fees

Author talk/assembly + one workshop + signing: £200

Author talk/assembly + two workshops + signing: £300

Virtual: Short author talk of 30-40 minutes and/or Q&A: £50
